My year has ended, as well as my season. The year sucked and the season looked abysmal. But thanks to the Prez and the lame duck Congress, the last week made my season and the year a success overall. I'll have a job next year.
The port has been poured, the nougat bars have been cut, the house smells terrific with the aroma of black beans , seasoned pork chops and home baked cookies.
My wife and son are happy and in a festive mood.
The gifts have been bought, only the wrapping to be done.
Here's a toast to you all and to myself because I am truly a fortunate man.
